Doesnt have the right tank either.
How long will an anemone and clowns last in a
10 gallon tank?

 

I would take the anenome back to the fish store if I were you. Keeping one alive under even the best of conditions is a risk to try. Sounds like your tank is too small, you may not have the right lighting and you bought one that is not in good condition. They should be a light to dark tan when healthy. If they are white that means they have been bleached and cannot use photosynthesis to produce food.

 

Guys, this is a WHITE purple tip anemone, it's not bleached, it's supposed to be white.

 

this is the "healthy" color for a purple tip sebae , their actually supposed to be beige. This is bob btw. he started off alittle bleached (see below) but we thought thats wat he was supposed to look like, then he started getting to his current shade (see above). and we realized their actually supposed to be on the darker side.




sounds like you dont have appropriate lighting and to be honest he'll probably outgrow your ten gallon in a few months they get pretty big.

 

How old is your tank..?
Does your friend have an anemone ..? Does he have test strips or test kits.?
Things can happen real fast in a 10 gal..Bad things, good things are always slow..
