Protein skimmer that sits on the floor?

I hate looking at all the pump pieces or trying to hide them behind my rocks. Rite now i'm using a hang on the back refugium. I wanna add a protein skimmer now even tho my Nitrite and Nitrate has never went over "0". I have no room on the back of my tank due to the refugium and i wanted to know is there a protein skimmer you can place on the floor with out a sump. keep in mind my tank is only 37 gallons. Thanks

 

No, there is not.

 

Any "external" (rather than HOB) skimmer will do this. Red Sea C-Skim comes to mind.

*EDIT* - Duh, you said on the floor. In that case, no, there is not. If you tried to hook up a Red Sea C-Skim (or any other external skimmer) like that, your tank would immediately drain itself thanks to fluid dynamics.

 

External does not mean "on the floor". There is no skimmer you can sit on the floor and get it back up to the tank. You have to have a sump whether the skimmer is internal or external does not change that.

 

Heh, I went back and edited my post as you posted that.

You could always put it on a slightly higher level than your tank, or get a HOB and hang it on the side.

 

I was just a step quicker...;D
