I currently have a 125 gallon reef with a two month old Ecosystem 25 gallon refugium. Although my nitrates have decreased significantly, I believe I still need a protein skimmer. The dilemma I now have is that I have limited space within the Ecosystem. If I add a skimmer, it need to be of the hang-on variety. Does anyone have a recommended brand or model????

Excellent skimmer. Darin, could he use the 6% discount on an upgraded pump too?

I only sell them with the upgraded pumps; i do not trust the rios. The 6% coupon applies to anything purchased on the site!

Rio's die a little every day. It's not a matter of "if" but "when".

Actually the pond hobby sells so many it would make your head spin. There will always be a market for cheap stuff. I never sell these unless the person is dead set on them.

    You guys, isn't a 125 a bit large for a Remora Pro?

It is a little big but he said he needed a hang on. He is also runnig the Ecosystem. I have a local customer with an Eco System and a remora pro. His tank is over 5 years old and he has no algae what so ever; all his corals and fish are thriving. The Hang on Skimmer with the ecosystem is more of a useful addition.

How about the Aqua Medic Turbo Flotor 1000 Multi?
It can go either in the sump or on the back right?
Curious what you think of it.
I am kinda a fan since seeing one on a friend's tank.
I was really impressed with the density of bubbles in the skimmer tube.

I stll prefer the AquaC over the aqua medic. In the long term i feel the Aqua C performs better and requires less maintanence to run at its peak!
