80gallon tank - almost a year old. Impeller notch broke, tried gluing it didnt work. So gotta order a new one. Will take 3-5 days to get here.

Am I gonna be ok without a skimmer for that long? I don't feed heavy and my tank parameters are good. Have quite a bit of sps and lps, but only 3 fish.

    Thanks in advance.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You will probably be amazed how well the tank does without a skimmer.

As long as you have decent flow there should be absolutely no issue.

As long as you have adequate flow and surface agitation you should have no issue.

Many hobbyist keep reef tanks without skimmers (including myself).

Three fish in an 80 gallon tank is nothing bioload wise.

Your tank might even do better without it. FTR, I have 4 fish in a 29g reef tank with no skimmer.

I've been running sump and skimmerless for a year. In the process of adding both though. Too good a deal to pass on.

Yup I have 4 fish in my Biocube 29 with no skimmer, just do byweekly water changes and all is well for over a year.

This is what I did when I couldn't figure out my skimmer. I have many upgrades planned, but I started changing the powerheads pattern (just moving them around) and would just make sure that each corner got a blast of water to move the detritus out of the nooks and crannies. My tank actually made great improvements with just doing that and not much else.

Now that I got the skimmer working again, after one day I came home from work and the water was crystal clear.

To me, this was one of the biggest things that I underestimated, flow.
