BRS has redesigned the basic inserts for there media reactors!!

The reactor many of us use!

Ok, so here's the skinny. I have cursed my two chamber reactor since the day I got it. I can't see if the GFO is tumbling, fluidized, solid... All I could ever see was the level. I also always seemed to get fines in the tank. Well BRS has finally redesigned the cartridges!

The new cartridges are CLEAR! And as if that wasn't good enough they also are better designed to allow for a more even water flow through the chamber. I was able to cut the flow to my reactor by half and can easily see the gfo's action! A huge improvement for only $10! I feel that in the ability to see better I will save $10 in GFO/Carbon in no time!

I'm really really happy with this one!

I just recently purchased mine. Didn't realise the cartridges used to be opaque. That would stink. Mine came with the clear ones. I love them.;)

I'm glad to hear that both of you love them. This the same reactor that I plan on buying in the near future (income taxes! :) ), or when the money permits lol.

I'm not so satisfied with mine. Maybe I don't understand something but why couldn't the inner container be as clear as the outer? The picture is quite accurate as far as clarity. Oh well its cheap and the seals are awesome unlike some other reactors.

The rector is so so. But the new cartridges (inner container)made it much much better. They are completely clear and have better flow through. Check then out. They made a big difference to my opinion of the reactor as a whole.

This review is strictly on the new inner containers not the reactor as a whole.

Dude the other ones were so obnoxious!! And the bottom design left a good bit of media that never got fluidized. And having to use sponges on the GFO in the old design left me constantly changing the flow rate. And I couldn't see what was happening well when I changed it... I was about to spend about $250 on two nice new reactors. These $10/each just saved me from buying new reactors!

Very nice, it is very difficult to see the GFO tumble in the old style. The looks like it has a much better flow pattern as stated. Gotta get me some to replace the old style I currently have.

Definitely one of the better $30 (with shipping) spends I have made lately!
