I am thinking about getting new powerheads, right now I have 2 maxi jets 1200 should I buy the same one or get something else.

YOu guys know whats good or not so what is your favorite powerheads?

My tank is 120 gallons and the reason why I want new ones is because I need to buy one for mixing my salt for water change so I figure I will use the one I have and get brand new one for my tank:). I bought my tank used so I slowly upgrade.

    Thanks

Get koralia (or koralia evolution) and use maxi jet for mixing water

I agree with the Korlias, they are nice powerheads, but their draw back is that they can take up a fair amount of space in the tank. I would suggest 2 K4s for that size tank. Remember, it's better to have more, smaller powerheads then one large one.

This is the brand I am looking at getting fro my 55g. What size would recommend? I want one at each end and maybe a 3rd in the middle amongst the LR?

I would be referring to the Koralias as the one I might get. Should I get 2 korlia circulation pumps and 1 Powerhead/Pump?

Second the Koralia Evolutions, they are supposed to be the size of the old Koralias that were one level weaker.

Get them so they total at least 20 times the volume of your tank. At least 1100gph. 30 to 40 times is probably better.
