So I was messing around with my powerhead to get some good flow in the tank. I rotated it quite a bit; it's the one for the oceanic biocube. Anyway I'm moving it around to see where I can get good surface agitation and it breaks... Must be a real piece of crap if it breaks so easily; I didn't even hit it against anything, nor did it ever receive any damage. My 10 gallon is practically filled up with water all the way, so the HOB isn't really helping out. Anything I could do right now? have a shrimp in there and don't want it to die. Then again I might be taking this too seriously, but I heard good flow was essential for fish, inverts, and corals.

I would think your water going through your overflow and your skimmer should get you by on oxygen and gas exchange,or you can try to superglue it until you can get another ph.

Edit-i just caught that its a 10 g and not a bio cube, you can also try a clothespin or chip clip to hold the wire clamped to the tank, holding the ph in place

Powerheads also give out oxygen which you need for fish and inverts(pretty sure inverts).

The powerhead or return pump in the biocube broke? or the little knob that rotates so you can fix the flow to where you want it?

Or did you take out the powerhead and are using it in another tank? If you have an HOB filter, that will be enough oxygen give out until you can get another powerhead. I would not worry about it that much since you only have a shrimp in there, but try and get one soon so nitrates dont build up from no water movement.

And also, are you sure it broke? The magnet may have just come loose, try and take it apart and put it back together and see if it works.

I used the wave maker nozzle on my 12 gal for years and everything was great. It cost like 12$

No I mean it's just a basic ten gallon and the powerhead snapped off of the thing that keeps it attached to the glass.
