Today upon going home for lunch, I came across blinking lights on in my kitchen (I lost power). I get worried. Check my tank and see that 2 of the 3 lights are working. So I assume the lights all came on for some period of time, then the power loss occured. It seems that when the lights are hot, I turn them off, the wont turn back on untill they cool down. How can I fix this issue when I have future power losses?

You can't. That's the ballast providing protection for the bulb; it won't provide power again until a set time delay.

A hot restart on a MH bulb results in an exploded bulb. :)

Interesting. So If I were to leave them be they should turn back on after a set time???
