Post pics of your open top tank with Hanging Metal halide

Well I want to eventually get this:

but my parents dont want any "contraptions" hanging from the ceiling

I think I can talk them into letting me do it but Im trying to convince them that it would look nice since the tank is in our living room.

 

Cant you find a way to clamp it to the aquarium, like desk lamp?

 

well I already have a HOB skimmer plus it would look better hanging

 

why would it crash? I just think it would be better since I have a deep tank and I could keep more corals and want some examples to show them it wouldnt look like crap. plus im the one who would be paying for it, I pretty much fund my own hobby

Try googling it, I've seen pics of tanks with those hanging, it can look nice, but you need to do it correctly.

 

that wasnt missionsix intention either. i took it as he was treating you on an even level. reefer to reefer. use the crash method , lol, or maybe the beautiful shimmer it will give off. a piece of art.
