    Fiji Blue Devil Damsel.
It was a terror. That big shell on the bottom of the tank? That was a huge hermit. It was afraid of the fish. Heck, I was afraid of the fish. It'd nip the soft part of my arm when I was cleaning in there and when I would chase it away it would come back & beat me with its tail. The only thing that scared it was I thumped it lightly once when it kept attacking me. It turned almost black and went and hid in the rock...for 5 minutes. Then it came back and beat me with its tail some more. This is why I never, ever recommend a damsel for a small tank unless it's going to be the only fish in there.

This was my "first" fish in my recent saltwater keeping life. I've had this trigger over four years now. Isn't she cute?

When I was a kid, I believe my first fish was a Maroon Clown, somewhere around 1977 or so. Interesting how many first fish are clowns.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
My first real tank, it was a Domino Damsel, 2 Blue Damsels and a B/W stripped Damsel. I thought they were the most beautiful fish in the world. You could tell what mood the Blues were in just by the coloration, sometimes pale, sometimes bright stunning blue..
I have always loved Damsels, I was mesmerized by them, that was way back in 1985-86. That real first tank hooked me for life and I still continue to be mesmerized today, sappy I know.
