possible pineapple sponge or something else

    hello again everyone

    opened the debate up on what on earth this was.
    id lots of mixed messages but the closest i could identify it as was a pineapple sponge.
    anyone that would like to contribute to this id be greatful

    does it retract if you touch it? If it does then its not a sponge.

    yes it does react but it hasnt moved from its position at all. i origionally thought aiptasia but it hasnt moved at all. should i be afraid?

    these are probably pineapple sponge, harmless to your tank, they are filter feeders.

    Looks like aiptasia to me, my pineapple sponges dont move when i touch them. mine also look fatter.

    To me that doesnt look like a pinapple sponge. It looks more clear then white.

    what about feather dusters or tube worms? It took me four tries looking at pic, but if it's on the bottom of rock, little feathery flowery things coming out of tube looking things, then I see them. I have a few feather dusters that look just like that. Harmless filter feeders.

    Could be.

    Hard to tell from that pic.

    I say take it out and eat it. if it tastes like a pineapple, then it is a pineapple sponge.
