Last weekend I picked up three clown fish and put them in my QT tank, they are very small about 1 to 1.5 inches long, the little guy in question is just over an inch long and has developed two cloudy white spots on his back tail. I came home from work today and he has one spec of what looks like ich on his tail. the picture attached is from this morning before that spec showed or before I noticd the ich.

    29Gal tank
    Water params..
    Amonia - 0
    Nitrite - 0
    Nitrate 5
    PH - 8.0
    Temp - 78F
    Salinity - 1.023
    Alkalinity - 5

Thanks for all your help, i'm really concernd for the little guy.

It's too hard to tell from the blurry pic to give a positive id on ich, brooklynella, or fungus.

Hard to see still, but if it is only on the tail there's a good chance something is just nipping at him. You'll know if it disappears in the next 48hrs...I don't think it will and that will eliminate ich.
