polyps not extending?

    I bought 2 new frags yesterday and on one of them (bluish one) the polyps don't look like they are extending. also can you guys tell me what kind of sps these are?

    Really hard to tell what acropora those are, they are too small, but the one with the blue tips looks like it might be a Valida, might.

    Not uncommon for sps to not show good PE initially I would not be too concerned at this point and give them a week or so to acclimate. If the issue presist, check flow and the big 3.

    Ok thanks I was just worried because all my other sps has had good polyp extension a couple hours after acclimation. and I was thinking the blue one was acropora, but not sure about the other one.

    Hard to tell from the image the other might be a Pocillopora but need a better image preferably a maco image. Sps polyp extension can change a lot through the course of the day.

    It is normal for some not to show much for a while. I have an A formosa that did not show much PE for a couple of months but grew great.

    that makes me feel better it's not like it was an expensive coral ($10) but it is the only blue one I have and I don't know it I could get a deal on something like that again. But I hope it does grow :)
