I don't have any idea if these are good or bad. Just on one of my rocks, and seem to be spreading at an ok pace. I kindof like them, but just wondering if there is anything I may me informed of before I try and move them or cultivate them in the display tank.

Might they turn into something really neat? Maybe color up once they mature, or is this it?

So if they aren't to problematic how would I get them to grow on a different piece of rock, scrape em off and hope they stick to something?

    Any info will be appreciated,
    Thanks

Are they ever open and can you get pictures of them when they are? That would help a lot. Right now they just look like closed zoas so if that's what they are then by all means let them be.

I think that is it. Seems like they spread easily, and the first one I saw like it was on a different rock, and not really much bigger, and it closed once I think, but this is open as I have seen them.

If they grow in nice tight colonies, I like em fine like they are. What to feed them? I haven't done anything special for them, just feed the fish. Not alot of light on them either, they seem to stretch to the light however, but when I moved one up to the main tank, it didn't like it (or the damsels).

My tub underneath serves as a qt sortof. That is where they live now and grow now.

Some type of zoanthid. Can you get a clearer pic? Not all zoa's open up with the lights on.

Best thing you can do is get them under some light. Were the damsels picking at them? You might try getting some on a small rock and putting them in a place the damsels can't reach. Maybe clip a Glad plastic container to the side so it's inside the tank and cut some holes so water can pass through but the fish can't get to them. That way they aren't being bothered, they are closer to the light (what type by the way?) and hopefully they'll open up and you can see what you have.

The pick is on macro about two inches off of them, they are smaller than bb's. Haven't seemed to get bigger just spreading a bit on that rock.

I tried once bringing them into the light, didn't work out well. Maybe not from the light, but when I put them back below, they seem to flourish. I'll just let them grow for awhile, but then I would like to pluck one or two off and glue them somewhere on my rock up above.

But I have not fragged anything yet, so I am at a loss.

My lights are weak, dual 24" standard flourecent with actinic and a 10 k. But that is miles better than the 18 inch reptile light and sunshine I used before. (actually that did work well)

The lights below are a dual 18" flourecent with the reptile and a marine glow.

I have my heart set on t-5's down the road.
