ok ill try to make this short, i started a 10 gal pod culture 2 months ago with algagen reef pods. but i in the last week added a 8 gal remote fuge. (i did all this too get more pods, i have lots of pod eaters in my tank, pod poulation was non existent befor) ok so i began seeding my tank and the new fuge with pods from the culture so i can shut the culture down. ive added pods almost every night to the fuge, at least 7 bags worth(in comparison to what you would get for 15 $ at lfs) well now my culture tank is still growing faster than i can take from it, and i think my tank is being infested with them.
if shipping was free i could supply 3reef with all the pods they ever need.lol

can i have too many pods?

there is a spot in my tank between the glass and a rock that has billions of them in a swarm. dont know how this is possible with a shrimp,2 dragonets, neon goby, clown goby, and 6 line.

well the culture is easy its just a 10 gallon with some bubbles , a bag of starter pods and a bag of live phyto(both expensive for what you get)pods 13$ phyto 15-25$

just dump them in and there you go, keep the water tinted green with the phyto.

now it sounds easy but some dont have such luck, there is alot more to know about it, but that is the general concept.

i think i lucked out with my culture as i have not even had bubbles in it for the last 3 weeks, or added any more phyto. just been droping some cyclopeze granules in there, they seem to love it. hey maybe the new food for pods will be ..pods.

I've never heard of them being a bad thing before... but I suppose anything's possible. I have a tons of pods in my tank, and I've never seen anything bad happen as a result of them.

not sure the temp no heater is needed(room temp), no other filtration,(actully i had the bubbles off for the last 3 weeks) still hasnt crashed!

i stoped adding more pods,so if the pod swarms in my tank dont decrease i may have to go borrow a mandarin. the one male dargonete i think is so well trained to eat meaty foods from my hand that he does not even see pods as a main food source anymore.

ill try to post a vid of these lil pod swarms, seriously they are gathering by the thousands.
