ORA has been breeding ones claimed to eat frozen and pellet food, but lots of people had them die and had problems with them eating.

    - Start to grow your own phytoplankton to feed pods: Tetraselmis or Isochrysis sp. (Florida aqua farms sells culture and f/2 fertilizer)
    http://saltwateraquariumblog.com/phytoplankton-culture
    - Set up small tank to grow copepods (bucket works fine too) add phytoplankton to your copepods breeding tank to feed pods.

    - Place few rocks from your DT to Pod tank, this will be your "shuttle rocks"
    -wait 1-2 weeks
    - transfer that rocks back to DT
    - wait 2-4 weeks (you may keep adding phyto to your display, but just a little bit, you can find more info here on forum. Watch your pods population. Once you have them crawling all over your glass....
    - Buy Mandarin
    - Occasionally swap "shuttle rocks" between DT and breeder if you see that pods start to disappear. Do it at night in order to let them hide.
    - Watch your Mandarin getting fat :)

You may use Chaeto instead of rocks, but I don't like my chaeto swimming all over my DT, so I use small drop in refugium just to keep it in place.

Another thing that has helped keep my Mandarin plump is making piles of small rocks in the tank.I call them Pyramids to the Pods.;D Gives the bugs a place to hide in the tank.8)
