    pvc primer and pvc cement Oates is a popular brand.

    I always use oats as well. Primer isn't necessary for non pressure systems but it never hurts to have the extra peice of mind.

    pvc cement is what i use, i am guilty of not using primer and for your return i strongly suggest it.

    Two rules I live by:

    1) A job worth doing is worth doing right.

    2) It's easier to do a job right the first time, rather than having to do it over.

    Use the primer. It softens the PVC to ensure an unbreakable bond. Without it, you have dried glue between two impervious surfaces, which over time, can start leaking or even fall apart.
