I filled it with tap water to test out plumbing, leaks and to clean it and my two bulkhead started pouring out water. I tightened it and they stopped but my intake bulkhead is slowly dripping from the thread. And I can't tell is my outtake bulkhead is dripping or not. What do I do? I don't have enough room to get pliers in there and it's hand tightened the best I can get it.

just make sure the ring is on the inside of the overflow. tighten it. Take it out, dry it off and re tighten it. Mine has the same problem, I just let it drip slowly into the refugium down below and after a day the salt creep stopped it. It fixed itself. This will really only fix small, slow leaks.

I have a ring on each side of the bulkhead.

I would take the one on the outside off. Just have one on the flange side. If it is a slow leak, the salt will stop it. It will fix itself. I went through the exact same thing.

11th day of cycle. I usually clean it up every few days. But the leak stopped on day 2. you can see the salt coming from the threads, and no leaks.

Both are leaking from the thread out so I assume its having that seal so I'll take those off and see.

till it was snug, you don't want to over tighten it. Basically I tightened it till I couldn't easily turn it again.

Bulk heads are crap. My returns leaked no matter what so i just used silicone on the threads and it fixed it. My drain bulkhead still leaks and salt creep keeps building up around the threads. I'm hoping the salt doesn't fall into my outlets but I'm too lazy to fix.

What i did to tighten them is loosen the bulk head from the tank and tighten them from inside the overflow. This only works if your piping isn't secured to your stand.

I was recently having the same problem. Thought I had junk bulkheads. But if you tighten them up firm, have the washer on the correct side, then they should seal up. The rubber will eventually "melt" against the glass and any micro leaks will seal up via the salt. Just get it down to a tiny leak, and give it a day or two.
