OK, slow moving like a snail or starfish. has 3 points. blends into the rock very well as you can see. Just a little bit of orange-ish specks in the center. Saw this thing today and wanted to know if I should be puttin on gloves and plucking him out? He's on the move and I don't wanna miss my chance.

Pretty much in the center of the pics.

Can you place a pointer on it? From the sounds of it, it looks like a 3-legged star fish......right? Luna

Is this what you mean? It seems that I am looking at a type of starfish. I have seen stuff like this in my tank, little white starfish with a black patch in the center. Is this right?

It looks like the little star fish that is very common in most home aquariums, also looks to have lost a couple if legs. which is no problem that is how they reproduce. I could be wrong but that what it lloks like to me here is a link I am sure it will answer some questions for you. I also don't think it is a problem I have bunches of them in my tank and they never hurt anything.

Not all are safe, some do eat corals and most eat coralline.
