A lot of people like Halimeda macroalgae. It's fairly non-invasive.

thanks for the quick replies...I'll leave it in the DT for now but if it starts to take over maybe I'll move it to my fuge. I have lots of cheato in my fuge, not sure if this will survive with cheato I've tried other macros with cheato and after a few months they die off.

Did you forget? You asked me what was on the right side of my tank and I told you Halimeda? It will eat up nitrate and phosphate.

LoL. Hey Leon, after I saw the responses then I realized it's the stuff I was asking you about, mine's just small. I'm ok with it as long as it don't start spreading across the entire tank. Looks like yours is growing but not spreading everywhere so I'll take a chance.

No chance about it. It is easily up-rooted. If you get some in an area you don't want it just use your tongs (or reach in) and grab it toward the bottom of the stalk and pull it firmly but slowly and the roots come up out of the substrate rather easily. I say to do it slow so you don't kick up a bunch of sediment as you pull it out. Your pic looks like yours could be growing out of the rock (it does that) you have to use a bit more force to get it out of the rock if it becomes necessary.
It doesn't have a connective root system like a lot of macros.
