Do some research. Google search. Do all the digging you can. If you can't figure it out then post. This hobby requires lotsa research. Those first 3 questions can be answered by google searching alone.

yes you can add a pistol and they are mostly reef safe. They will eat/kill ornamental shrimp in smaller tanks. Peppermints, camels and cleaner shrimp will most likely get killed. I had a watchmen paired with my pistol, then my pistol killed 2 peppermints and a cleaner, so its in the sump now.

I've had a pistol shrimp/watchman goby pair for months now, and the same cleaner shrimp I've had for at least 8 months. I HAVE had smaller peppermint shrimp go MIA - I would imagine the shrimp got those. Make sure you have a decent sand bed for them to dig around in and make sure your rocks are anchored!

just remember, not all pistols and gobys will pair up in the tank. It is hit and miss! I had a pink spotted goby in my tank and came across a pistol months later. I added him into my tank and I was lucky that they found each other. But often times they will not pair up.

I still have my pistol in my 135g and have not seen him in MONTHS! I hear him still so I know he is in there but often times they will go to the back of the tank (or some other location) and you may never see him. Even if he does pair up
