    i had the same problem when i got my pistol shrimp... i scooped him outta the bag and he clung to the net... when i shook him off he fell into a little crevace in the reef and didn't come out. i though "great, $15 on a shrimp i'll never see..." the watchman was roaming around all over the place, i could tell he could hear the pistol cause he never strayed that far from his hiding place. on the 3rd day i looked at my tank in the morning and the watchman was stickin his head out from a newly dug shrimp cave :D

    so don't worry with the pistol... it's bound to get hungry pretty soon and start looking for food. it'll have to climb down to the bottom and make a cave somewhere, and when it does, your watchman will probably find it.

    Yea... still havent seen mine since I put him in. About a week ago I saw a channel of freshly plowed sand around a rock on the opposite side of the tank, but no digging. Havent heard him nor seen him.

    How deep must your sandbed be to house a pistol/goby paired in there home?
