These have been in the tank for a couple weeks. The pistol and orange spot haven't met up yet. I could've bought a pair at the LFS, but he wanted $30 for a pistol when I could go across town and get it for $13, and after I over paid for the orange spot, I wasn't about to throw away another $17. They'll meet up eventually.

I was actually worried about the pistol, I hadn't heard it at all for the last week and a half. Then last night it sent off a barrage of snaps. I had no clue where it might have gone in the tank. This morning I found it, and its molt.

I like the personality of the six-line so far... though it did steal some piece of shrimp I was attempting to feed the pistol with. Piece that was about pea sized, just grabbed it and carried it around lol. The orange spot I was hoping would dig a burrow where I could see it, but it picked the back of the cave. Perhaps I can fill it in to encourage it to move again.

Great shot on the pistol. All we ever see are 2 claws & maybe a quick part of the body grabbing food. Our orange-spot & pistol haven't met up either and we only have a 55. They've been in there since January or February. I suspect the fish knows it's there, as it hangs out on its rock sometimes and chases other fish off, but I don't think the pistol has figured it out yet. Is that the orange-spot in the back? It looks like it has a really dark head, not at all like ours.

Yes, that's the orange spot... it's just in a shadow. Mine are inhabiting a 29 and haven't met lol. He's very shy...

BTW... in this picture, the orange spot is in the EXACT same hole the pistol is now in... too bad they just missed the timing.

haha! Love the little :)! You're so lucky that you get to SEE yours!!!
I don't see any maroon under your orange-spot's jaw, does it have any? Ours does.
Ours used to be really outgoing, but it's been shy ever since we lost the one fish the day before we went on vacation. It must've really gotten traumatized by the other fish being trapped all day or something.
