    Well I promised some of you guys I would make a thread of my 180 gallon tank but its so bad looking right now, Im too embarrass of it too show you it. Anyways I finally got a picotope that I have been wanting. This time ill do everything right from the beginning. I am going to upgrade the lighting eventually, anybody have any ideas?
    Pics will be uploaded in a couple of hours just need to charge camera.

    on a pico you should just as well go with LED

    What leds do you suggest they cant be super expensive since im working on a minimum wage since im still in high school.

    1. fish only
    2. fish and zoas
    3. sps and fish

    hmmm.. is it considered a pico if you plumb it into your DT system? sorta like having a 5 gal pico with a 200 gal sump?


    wait. I just had an idea for my next build....

    Im looking at sps zoas and softys but no fish except a cleaner shrimp.

    if thats the case, your best bet is to build your own light with Cree LED's. 6 led kit from rapidled.com is fairly cheap. i think they recently started selling heatsinks to mount the leds to also...

    I'm not very good with electricity and wiring so that would be coming out of my comfort zone. But willing to try.

    its not hard, led wiring is really really easy if you know how to solder... ill help you out.

    Otherwise, there are small commercial units but they are excessively overpriced!!!

    Talked it over with parents and they gave the no to the idea so I guess were looking at buying one already made.
