Well this idea has come full circle. I used my soldering iron to soften the plastic or acrylic to make the return. I have a maxijet 600 as the return and this thing is so cool. A bit loud (Overflow) but im not concerned because it'll be where noise is no issue.

Im hoping to get this thing working so i can put my ricordias in it that arent attaching to anything in my 20! i put them on rocks and theyll attach and detach in a few days. so frustrating. but this is still a work in progress. just the labor part is over.

Now just gotta wait till xmas and see what my girly wants to do with this. theres a possibility this could be a freshwater tank. So be it im going to have to learn about those quickly because i have 0 experience. I cant imagine it being difficult i learn quick. But any who if it is saltwater, my lfs has a awesome clown goby thats so tiny it would be perfect. If it is salt, then im thinking in talking her into buying either

I may make a little stand for this as well, but that may come in the future.
I found the lid as you may have noticed. it cuts down on noise alot.
