well, I thing the clown is fine. its a pretty small fish, but it could have set the bio load off a bit. but I dont see why my nitrates were 20 and phosphates were .04 if that were the case. 20 nitrates is Not too bad. yea, not as good as zero.

im thinking it is a normal cycle new tank syndrome thing. im sure it can be pushed thru. ill have to see how it all reacts after the change tomorrow. I may get the net ant take the fish home tomorrow. we shall see. at least the frag system i have now is super awesome and is a good home for this little guy.

So, on the way home tonight in pondered this tank. I hung the Rock I used was not cycled well and frankly caused the issue. It was only in my sump a week. So.. I'm tearing it out tomorrow. And replacing it completely with some "seasoned" rocks. These two to be specific. [IMG]

well.. I think it looks good. Much more minimalistic. I think i killed my shrimp though. it may have been a PH issue with the water. I dont know what it is. I need to bring a pinpoint meter up here and see what it is.

Better photo to come once the lights are all on. it is basically 90% new salt water.

WOW, been a while since I updated.

    1. the tank looks super awesome now.
    2. it had Dinoflagellates which were DISGUSTING and a PITA to kill.
    3. my heater died over the weekend and my water was 66° when I got to the office this morning. AAAGGHH!!!!! Corals werent open good and fish was VERY lethargic. I ran to Wally world and got a new 50 watt heater. its been about an hour and we are up to 70° now. Whew...

Here be a photo from last week.

OK WOW. let me push this thread back into reality. the Dos Pescados tank lives on. at my office. with very little input from me. I put food and water in. Water evaporates out. that is all. I havent done a water change and havent cleaned the filter (thought I need to an recharge the purigen and add new chemi-pure.

so for now, here is a shot from this morning. not too bad for a do nothing tank.
