well, I did it. Just couldnt stand it at home so I packed it up this morning and took it to the office. everything seems to have made it just fine except a zoa frag I found in the bottom of my big tank kinda got split apart. it was 5 or 6 polyps connected to some sand. It has yet to even open in the tank because I think it was so burried in the back. they are my surprise zoas. so now some are at the bottom and some are back where I wanted them. HOPEFULLY they will open up soon.

I figured for top off and water changes I would bring a 5 gallon jug on the 1st of the month with water from my big tank. Id have an empty here. i would drain 1.2 of the tank water into the empty, then pour new in, then I woudl have 1/2 of a jug to use as top off throughout the month. shoudl be about a cup every few days. only thing that worries me is the salinity of it. I am bringing a spare refractometer to the office to monitor it closely.

not really. they all know this is my hobby... but my assistant pointed to what I think is the most dull zoas in the bunch and said those were pretty... LOL.

That's always the way. You can pay hundreds/thousands for something that you absolutely love, and then someone that knows nothing says how much they like your Xenia right next to it that you are trying to get rid of...

Been talking to my assistant. after looking at the tank a bit during lunch.. we may opt for the shrimp only path. not having something swimming around seems to be very calming and such.

so, now the decision is to either get 4 sexy shrimp (and maybe a skunk cleaner) or a single coral banded shrimp.
