WOW what a difference 24 hours makes. Today, the Sohal is much more calm. no longer pacing the tank as he was yesterday, but now voraciously picking at the rock. he is doing an occasional sand slide rubbing the top of his fins, but I cannot see anything to cause him harm. ill have to get a cleaner shrimp or goby in here to make sure all is well.

OH yea, and they will eat Nori right out of my hand!

Sadly, I have had a little setback. Ich has broken out on the sohal. Not bad, but its there. as of today we are going Hypo for 4 weeks to eradicate it. so, no corals till then. boo hoo!

Why not nip it in the bud before it gets any worse? I lost a fish to it already. one I should not have bought as it brought it into my tank. I would rather erradicate it now, know that the tank is completely 100% free than worry about it popping up on any new additions even after they are QT.

its an easy do now because I can use the entire system as QT and not stress any of the fish out any more by trying to catch them or risk it getting worse. the fish in question is flashing considerably more today and I have seen a few spots on the Naso's pectoral fins.

well, successfully made it all the way down to 1.009. that was alot of fresh water. whew. everyone in the tank is acting normal and behaving just as they normally do. all ate well too. the Sohal is still doing a little flasihng on teh sand, but not near what he was when I got home today. hopefully in a day or so, we will see a reduction in the number of white spots on his fins and body. after that, it is sit and wait while the parasite rots on the vine in the Hypo saline water.

Oh yea, one thing I also noticed at aobut 1.015 is that the skimmer is alot less foamy.
