This is one of the very first frags put into this tank. it is a Pink Pocilipora and I believe it is a frag from my old 75. when I got it, it was TINY!!

Progression shots are always fun. :) And rewarding.

I am being invaded by a rainbow green pocillopora; much like those zoanthids are doing to you. I have polyp bailout spawns of it in 75 (and counting) places in my tank... :inquisiti

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Great progression shots, ton of encrusting going there.

Pocillopora is just pretty enough make it acceptable as being invasive up to a point.

How do you like your urchin? What does it eat in your tank? Algae and or coralline?

Sounds like you need AEFW Hunter. I love progression shots. That Cerealis sure likes to encrust! Talk about trying to take over a tank.

AEFW wont touch poci... funny, my rainbows actually did a bout of RTN from the tips. like they polyps bailed out for some reason. but I never see any attach anywereh. I have a green/rust one too that is super shaggy and branchy. the big pink on is very solid and coli-flour like.

yea, I watched it creep up on the Pink Lemonade (which has ZERO growth except the encrust. I swear, 2 years and the 1/2" frag is still 1/2" tall with 5" of encrust.

that big purple Acro I think is a Purple Slimer. touch it and it slimes like a green slimer. its encrustation encompasses the branch width too. but, that pink acro above it with the massive long branches, 3" encrustation.

Coralline, he is a pest. kids love him, he is hilarious at times, but LOVES to pick crap up. he has pulled up several expensive zoas and tossed them into the nether regions of the tank. I have some utter chaos zoas that I am afraid to get off the middle of the frag rack for fear he will go after them. he eats coralline algae and IMO, I feel he helps it grow and spread. will mow down anything in his path to get to it. I wish he would just stay on the overflows and back wall but he prefers to eat off the rock.

here he is with his top hat. I let him wear it for 2 weeks till it started to look grungy. it was right over his chute so it did keep him from polluting the tank a bit.

wow, very impressive tank and growth shots. I really enjoy looking at those as well and love FTS's. Love the top hat urchin! Mine does the same, mows down the coralline. I'm hoping that you're right in that perhaps he helps spread it (I'll just think of it this way :)
