Wow. First the anthias and now HA. Hopefully the Tomini will fix that. My phosphates finally dropped from 2.1 to .51. I guess the pellets are finally kicking in.

yea man, it is my fault on it. wasnt practicing what I preached now im paying for it. My pellets are kicking in already as my skimmer is putting out some really nasty funk. im not testing any phosphate on my salifert kit but my guess is that it is being consumed as fast as it is released. we will get it turned around soon.

this has likely been teh most disgusted I have ever been at my tank. I hate looking at it right now. cannot wait for that tomini to get in here. at $40 he had better be worth it. I could have also bought my old purple tang back too, but I dont think the new one would be happy with me at all.

    Thanks Baugherb

well, the Tomini is NOT going to get to come home. the Current owner has elected not to sell his setup. Great for him!!!! as for my tank.. lets see, the PH is 8.02, the KH was 8.5, zero nitrates and we have just gotten some more GFO to strip the water of the Phosphate. not sure where it is now as my phosphate kit wont register it, but one thing is every day, i notice the HA is slowly receding. it is browning a bit and dieing off.

while I have seen a few white spots on the purple tang (dam anthias brought something in) they have cleared up and we seem to be on the up and up. I have to trim a few of the corals back as they really receded. mostly burnt tips on the MIllipora and a purple acro. the monti cap is pretty much gone. it has a few polyps holding on so I am just going to let it hang on. this next week I am going to make a new probe holder for my CA reactor to hopefully allow it to be more accurate. seems to bounce the levels in the reactor too much. it can be set at 7 and it will fall all the way to 6.2! NOT good. im tempted to try and drill a hole in the top of the reactor but dont have a way to thread a fitting that size. I saw some DIY plans on making a probe holder for inline that I may end up using.

aw yea.. that bad boy (spike as the boys named it) is mowing down some HA at this moment. it has moved a whole 6" since it was added and has left a 100% clean trail.
