    Thanks TSG

Good and bad news. Found the 2nd female anthia stuck in the downtube on the overflow. I knew she was gone, but could nto find her. Glad she was there so i didnt have to go diving.

the good news is that I found teh Cardinal that vanished! I think someone pushed him over the overflow and he was swimming around in there. I drained it almost all the way down and scooped him out in my hand. he is happily swimming in the tank now.

Too bad about all the females. At least they are easier to get.

ill pick it up at our frag swap in 3 weeks. it is worth the risk to me. Plus Reefbruh said he would mail me his black tang if it dont work out! HAHA!!!

seriously though, I tihnk it will be ok. there are small enough spaces for it to get that the purple cannot. I worry more about that one than the Sohal. plus, Tomini's are Excellent algae eaters... one of hte best imho.

Male was flushed last night. strange that all of them died within a week. very very strange.

at this time, it looks like I will wait another year or so for the anthias. I am going to try and find 2 more pyramid butterflies, the melanurus wrasse, a bangaii cardinal or two to pair up with mine, and a male true onyx clown.

So my PH probe was bad. it had some sort of funk that was surrounding part of the little bulb and it was causing erroneous readings. Reason I know this is that the Pinpoint Monitor would not stay steady on its readings. I had removed it from the holder and put it in the sump and it gave me a PH of 6.5!!!!!! I FREAKED OUT and got the cal solution out and it read 5 them 7 then 6 then 7 and jumped around. I rinsed it and then placed it back in the tank and it read 8.06. it was then that I noticed a funk on it or something and when I touched it to clean it, the bulb popped so I need to get a new probe and calibration solutions. KH has dropped to 12 now on its own.

Im going to order a new probe and some extra solution from BRS today.

    Update:

Got the saliftert kit in yesterday. KH has dropped now to 8.5 so we shoudl be good there. New PH probe and GFO reload will be here this friday. I have left the lights off for a few days to kill off some of the HA. it seems to have worked. also looks like an order of hermits is in the near future.
