HEY HEY! so I bought a pair of Koralia 4's off Ebay. got them for $50!!! they were in GREAT SHAPE. I put them on the back wall in the corners bythe overflows so they are sorta hidden in teh shadows. talk about a burst of water. WHEW! those things can move some water. this puts me close to 40x turnover in the DT now. already seeing some great polyp extension.

Now thats a steal. Good work. I thought it had to be around 25X the tank size?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Cool I love the koralia 4. Personally I am not going to spend the money on a vortex when I get good results from a koralia, granted I do not have a surge in my tank but hey they work pretty darn well.

I just looked from start to finish. That is an awesome build. Looks great! The fine tuning and addition of new inhabitants is the fun part!!

Thanks guys. So far so good with them. The vortices are really nice but I cannot work them into my budget.

Reefbruh, for a good Sps tank more is better. 30-50x is a good rule of thumb. You will get thicker growth. Seen it many times. I know a guy with a 300 that way 4 of the mp40s running wide open.

Pizza, thanks. It has been a fun experience. Thanks for reading.

thanks 2in10. best part about that butterfly is that it was $33!! way cheaper than I have seen them online so I just had to get it. it is already eating and seems to be getting along with the rest of the gang in the tank. the purple tang is the one who is the least welcoming to the new comer. size wise, he is about 3" nose to tail. half the size of the purple.

IM loving the Koralias as well. I may see if I can put a rheostat on one of them to calm it down a bit.

    Good idea on the rheostat.

I have 2 Koralia 1050's a 750 and a nano in my tank. The trick is aiming to let them rip. I have another 750 that I can put in if I can figure out where to put it without disturbing the sand.
