Pickupman66's 180 gal Glass box - Update for July 2013

Thanks guys! I truly appreciate it. While this build has been fun, it has been challenging with the setbacks I have had. That said, it si moving along and we actually ahve coral in the tank!

Here are some photos of the new Manifold I made this weekend. it has 3 x 1/2" outlets for use. the left one drives my UV, the center is split to drive the CA reactor and the Coil Denitrator and the right one is for future use but will most likely drive a carbon reactor that is in the works. lastly is a full shot of that area. the CA reactor in online but I dont have my media in it yet. I wanted to tweak it before adding the media and the co2 to it. It amazing how much pressure I have in the system at these outlets. there is enough for me to shoot a stream across the entire sump from that low pressure tubing.

Also, My timer for my Halides went out this weekend. so I gotta get a new one.

Dingo, I put in a Stylopora, Pocilipora, frogspawn, some leathers, and some other SPS.

My bi-color is picking at the tiny frags a bit. he seems to like the poci and the birdsnest. there is very little PE on them right now. ill have to keep an eye on the little devil to see how it works out. I hope I dont have to trap him and take him to the LFS. that will not be fun.

 

Ahh I hope you don't have to take him out! Took me 5 days to trap one of those devils one time... Will never put another in

 

yea, we were hoping since it was a tank raised bugger it would be good. I dont have a trap, so it looks like ill have to make one. UGH.

 

Trap is set. the little chit swam buy it, but didnt take the bait. hopefully by saturday morning, I can have him trapped and in the sump for a ride to the LFS.

There was also a Gigantic digi that came in as well, but it was still very slimed up so I didnt get a good pic.

 

oh yea, and the little angel has not gotten into the trap yet. he has fooled us and really wants the brine in there, but hasnt ventured fully in yet.

hopefully late tonight or tomorrow.
