no kidding me too. I cannot wait to get coral! its killing me just looking at bare rocks.

 

And probably everyone else. But you know the 3reef creed.

 

one 60lb bucket of salt arrived good enough for 200 gallons of salty water! One more week till it is coral time.

Yuppers.. got it up to 1.016 now. tonight it will be 1.019, thursday it will be 1.021, Friday it will be 1.024 and saturday afternoon it will be 1.025. it takes me about an hour and a half to raise it up each time. I take two scoops of the salt, and them fill the bucket with tank water. dissolve all the salt and get it clear in the bucket. it reads 1.050 on my refracto. I then take the line for the UV which is a maxijet 400 and pump water from my skimmer chamber in to that bucket it slowly dilutes the bucket water to the point that it matches the tank. at that point, I pour the bucket out. (bucket is sitting in the sump so i dont change the water levels in the sump.

Ive got CORAL IN MY TANK!!!!! a BIG thanks to several of my local club members for providing some beautiful frags to help seed my tank. I now have:

Frogspawn
birdsnest
pocilipora
stylopora
a neon green polyp acro
Two different leathers
some mushrooms

and some others I cannot identify yet. they are SPS. Ill get some photos just before light out as they are starting to come out of their shell.
