Very nice. How did you do it? All the bulbs in my T5HO hood have burned out so I might be up for a little DIY (they were never that bright anyway).

do to the shape i only needed one brite LED im not exactly sure the K, or NM rating. i use a lil switch and and 3 L1154 button cell batteries(spelling). i sanded the top of the LED down with a nail file, this will get rid of the spotlight affect. then i just positioned it in my light hood and done. it has an awsome ripple affect.
here is a another pic of some diff colors i tried

    Nice job! Looks nice!
I have been contiplating over and over again as to the best wat for me to incorporate moons into my reef tanks! Those single Coralife moons are expensive and not very efficient on a 6 foot long tank!!!
    Decisions...
    still thinking!

If any of you need a good moonlight that will last you a good 10 yrs and is totally water proof ATT can set you up.. Ours are not the cheapest But not much more the little pieces of junk I see selling for 30.00 to 60.00 around places I have been given several of different types and never had one to last a yr salt spray kills them..You can put our design under water and use them.. Just P/M me..

oh I like the sanding tip!!

I used 3 blue LED lights I got from PepBoys for 7 bucks and an old cell phone charger (9v)

But I'm going to try sanding those LED tips to loose the spot beam effect

    Thanks for the info!

very good idea with the cell phone battery. karma to you. i think im going to try an run mine off that. i have alot of old cell phones and chargers. much more efficent than the button cells.
