I wanted to post this to get some feed back on people who are doing it or have thought of doing it. I really want to try this more to give back to the 3reef community than to make any money and to also help my tank thrive in the process. so here are my questions.

what size air pump would I need to do about 8 bottles at a time?

would this be somthing other 3reef members would be interested in buying per bottle if the price was comparable to DT?

is there any money to be made trying to sell this? (again not trying to get rich just enough to make more or a steady supply)

any other comment on sucess or failures are welcome and again if this is somthing you would be intrerested to buy for your tank post here so I can see what type of feed back I get.

We used to sell plankton. It is enough to make a little bit back for your tank, just grow it thick, and remember, it will last a while in the fridge if it does not sell. You will have success on eBay, but be prepared for a lot of customer service! LOL

I have 2 of the largest air pumps wal-mart had running 2 gallon jugs of phyto, 1 bucket of rofiers, and 1 bucket of mysis shrimp. I would give you the size of them but, wife throwed boxes away. I would try to trade it to local pet stores because Ebay is loaded with that stuff.

Florida Aqua Farm is the best place to buy a culture and fertilizer. Florida Aqua Farms

Me and my buddy used to grow Tetraselmis and Isocrysis to feed rotifiers to feed his Acan colonies and fish. If you really want to sell that stuff - you will have to centrifuge it and use freshly mixed water in order to keep "uneaten" fertilizers out. Also if you'd like to sell it - make sure its not a very common nannochloropsis sp that is getting sold all over ebay. I would suggest Tetraselmis or Isochrysis.

    I like this point

Tetraselmis is the only culture they sell besides Nanochloropsus where could I pick up a culture of Isochrysis?

also I could sell more than one type to make a deversified culture.
