I love my reactor +1 on the RO/DI usage too. I have a TLF one that I put Seachem SeaGel in, which is a combo of Phosphate remover + Carbon. I had semi high levels of Phosphate initially and they are now below 0 after using my reactor for a few days. My corals are all much happier & I am also.

Here's the link to the one I have:Two Little Fishies Phosban Reactor 150 - Filters - Modular Filters at BigalsOnline

I'm using mine as an HOB but you can place it in a sump too if you had one. If you do get one, you might also want to get the "extension kit" for it if you're also using it as an HOB it looks much nicer.

In terms of media, I would go with Rowa media: D-D ROWAphos Phosphate Removal Media

Here's the Seachem SeaGel I'm currently using, I've had no issues with it. Be careful though as some media is Aluminum based so once it's saturated it will start leeching back into the water column. If you don't have a test for Phosphates I would stick with Iron based media like Rowa above: http://www.marinedepot.com/Seachem_..._Filter_Media-Seachem-SC3113-FIFMCHRM-vi.html

    best of luck!

the BRS unit is built a little sturdier and, IMO, easier to change out the media and maintain. they do the same thing, however
