Now I know canisters are not the way to go as many people say they build up nitrates very fast but IF I used one for chemical filtration only + 2 phosban reactors, 1 with bio pellets and the other with phosban/rowaphos
would this work for my 55 sps reef? I WOULD CLEAN THE CANISTER BI-WEEKLY.

I've only been in this hobby for a year and a half, but I'm pretty sure well maintained canister filters have been used for a long while. I myself use 2 reactors one for GFO & one for carbon. I found it better to run them separate because the flow needed for the carbon was to much for the GFO. I to use Purigen but I put it in a media bag in a high flow area of the sump.
