I want to run one of these with ecoBAK for my 29g DT/11g sump. The reactor is 17.5" tall and my sump is only 12" tall. Would it be OK to just have the reactor sit upright in the tank stand?

Hey Seano, yeah you should be fine because you can hang it off the side of the sump and then just add the output tubing and feed it into the sump along with the pump. Just have to make sure the pump is submerged. Hope that makes sense.

If you want to physically put the whole thing in your sump upright that should work also as long as the pump is submerged and the output tubing is securely in the sump.Although I have never tried it that way, I always had it hanging off the back of a tank or my sump. I'm sure others will chime in.

Hey, MoJoe. Well I have limited space in my small sump(skimmer/return/fuge). I have some space in the tank stand, to the left of my sump where the reactor can stand up-right. I would like to run this reactor off of my return pump(run a "T" to the reactor) then have the reactor output go into the skimmer section.

I have 2 of these hooked up out side next to the sump due to lack of room..just make sure your feed pump stays underwater and don't and i stress don't foget to use the plastic clamps on your connections...hth..
Also I run the feed for them off my return line..less pumps less heat..
