Phils 180gallon reef ready tank....Take 2!

Wow...10k huh??? I am right behind you after this last MH/Canopy upgrade. I think I am pushing 7k.

 

Between my rocks teh two times plumbing the many different types of equipment ive bought and resold and rebought yea easy lol makes me cringe

 

I remember your last one...It was Badass!!! Hope you did not sell too much. I just run 2 TLF chained to one maxi-jet. 1st has GFO. Second is packed to the top with carbon.

 

I think thats what im gonna do....And this one is gonna be ten times more badass

The one nice thing about this new start up is i cooked all my rock! So that means no more aips!!!! And i will not be putting any more liverock into this tank ever unless i cook it first! i will not have aips in this tank!

 

seems like a legit idea. I just found some of those pest on my rock the other day. My tanks been up for years and I've never seen any of the Aptaisia before.. Maybe i just never saw them under my old PC's, i first saw them when i installed my metal halides..

 

I cooked all the rock in my Pico 3 gal. You would not believe how much junk still grows back (Algae) even after it has been cooked.

 

its been cooking for 6 months in fresh water in no water lol so im hoping that doesnt happen
