Phils 180gallon reef ready tank....Take 2!

Hey sorry Im late to the thread. Great to have you back OP. Your tank was beautiful before so I'm sure it will be great this time.

 

Thank you bud and now worries! I plan on making this tank 10000 times better then my tank before. There was a lot of stuff i feel i could have changed and done better which i plan on doing this time around!

 

I kept carbon in a bag for a long time and never had any real problem with it. The only that drove me nuts was the sound of the trickle of water over the bag. Just switched to a reactor today, so I will let you know if I have any problems.

 

Cool im going to start with it in the bag, but the bag will be submerged in the filter sock under water so thats not a problem as far as the sound.

 

Rockin tank setup so far love the rock work. Very nice to see someone from the area.

Man, for the set-up you have, and the money you are putting into this baby, get a reactor. They are chump change in comparison, and you get much better results and contact. I believe Marine Depot has them on sale right now for 34.95. Keep up the good work...Cant wait to see the results!!

 

Thats very true there is easy ten grand already tied up into it...whats another 35 bucks lol;D
