    i did a water change in my tank last night i only changed out 10 gallons of the water of my 55gallon tank and i use kent marine superbuffer-dkh witch i have never had a problem with (only had the tank set up for like 4 months tho) but not my ph is only 7.8 don't know y i had this problem before that is why i started using this cause it would not reach 8.2 till i started using it please help :confused:

    do yu have a glass top or anything on your tank? Often if you do there isnt enough gas exchange, and will lower PH

    are you using power heads? is the tank in a room that is not getting air from outside? what brand of salt are you using?

    i do have a glass top on it and yea i am using 2 maxijet 900 powerheads and the salt is "Instant Ocean sea salt"

    You need airflow over the surface of the water, or your pH will always be low.

    There is not enough gas exchange or maybe could be from co2 if your house is closed up without fresh air getting in. what is you dkh?

    ok took the top off for a few hours and it fixed the problem thanks yall
