Hi all - any good recommendations for a pH monitor/probe combo out there?

(leaning towards monitor to keep cost down but feel free to talk me into a controller )

pH is my next frontier to tackle with the nano - thought I'd start with a good monitor and go from there.

    Thanks in advance.

    Reef Angel controller :)

The price of the controller is really not bad when you consider it can control pH, temp, wavemaker, ATO, overflow protection, dimming or other PWM/0-10V control, etc. If you had to buy each component separately, you would be double the cost!

Do you have a budget? If so what is it?

Hoping to spend less than $200. :) But who knows..

Funny I've wanted one of these for a while. Just scared about what I will do with it. :) Thanks for info - so does it come with probe? EDIT - looked it up: $200+ for controller and $25 for probe. What is the resolution?

Actually its $219 and comes with a pH probe, temp sensor, & two floats (could be used for ATO and/or high/low sensors). Resolution of pH is .01 :)

I don't have dimming lights on mine, so I use one of the dimming ports to activate the buzzer (high/low temp & overflow), and control the speed of a PWM fan to keep the tank cool. 8)

I looked into both Apex Jr and RKL for my nano, and am strongly considering getting another RA for it. For $20 more than the RKL package above, you get 8 controllable outlets (instead of 4), a display screen with temp, pH and dimming port graphs, PWM control (0-10V is $20 more), and floats for ATO. The Apex JR isn't even close price wise to do the same :-/

Edit: I did forget to mention that the Apex Jr does have integrated Ethernet, while the Reef Angel needs a $109 wifi attachment. I don't need it though, but some may so it should be mentioned.
