    Hi Everyone.
Well here is my problem , I recently started my 40 gol tank again , was going to go with fish only and started out that way , One of my friends threw in some LR to seed, well low and behold there was a mushroom and some green star polyps on it and its doing great.
Now here we go, well when I saw that they were doing well I decided to go reef, added some more LR aprox 5-7 lbs a week ,all levels were ok except Ca ,so being new to this (i used to have fish only for years) I decided to use AragaMILK (bad move ,always rush things) now my ph is 8.6( Amonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 0 , Salt 1.024 , Ca 350, )
Other then a breakout of som green All creatures seem to be ok except the turbo snails they are just not moving (hang on but don't run,(I think they lost turbo)
I was just wondering now what I should do RE the PH

Thanks for your Help , You guys are great

    Hi wavebeast,

If you take into consideration the accuracy of test kits then 8.6 isn't such a bad result :)

Do you know what the Alkalinity reading is?

no idea what my Alkalinity is, I ordered a alk test kit from Dr foster&smith it should be in any day , My LFS wanted double the $
My turbo snails seem to be full, I pulled one off the glass and put him on an algae he grabs on but dosn't seem to be eating

Well, when you get the Alk test then please let us know the reading :)

I think Turbo snails are so named because of the shape, not because they are quick :)

To get the calcium you might want to try some Kent Turbo Calcium. Keep us posted on what you're doing.
