when I feed my mimic tang seaweed I put it in my hand and he eats off my hand and he let's me pet him on his side and forehead. I thought that was pretty cool. anyone else can do this?

Lots of people hand feed their fish. I don't recommend petting them often though the oils on your hands can be bad for their scales, if pet often.

The only thing I ever hand fed was my peppermint and cleaner shrimp. My clowns have bit my fingers but haven't eaten food out of them.

cool. I've never tried it. My CB will never be calm enough to do that though, I'm sure.

I would have no problem hand feeding my cleaner shrimp. They like to climb up my arm.

Haha, my clowns have eaten from my hand since day 2 of having them (They were from another's tank so it's probably his doing)... They've even got my rusty angel doing it too...

The minute I remove the egg crate from the top, all three shoot to the top and wait for my hand haha. It's fun.

My Naso and Sohal are hand fed alot of times. they dont mind me in the tank either however, I was doing something the other day and felt something on my fingers. turns out it was the Sohal thinking I had food and was biting my fingers. he did it constantly that day.

I had a Momma GSM that would bite me when I was working in the tank. it dont hurt but startles you.

I took the very tip of a tang's shank once while working at a pet store(not feeding). Not enough to do anything; didn't even leave a mark. It still makes me think twice about what I'm doing in a tank with one around. My last yellow tang was begging to slap me with his shank...
