    The article doesn't conclude that the harvest of yellow tangs is sustainable. The last sentence says the breeding populations of yellow tang are sustainable, these populations being found in protected waters. Directly above that is says that "management might need to be redefined", referring to the need to change current population management practices, because they are not working.

    It gives an alternative to entirely shutting down harvests, and that's identifying specific species that can be sustainably harvested, and limiting aquarium catch permits.

    This article seems to be only supportive of the thought that...we are going in the right direction, but we aren't there yet not that current practices are sustainable.

    I completely agree.

    An interesting side note, the most beneficial way of donating money to support the environment, is buying duck stamps. Something like 93cents per dollar goes directly to purchasing or leasing new land for wildlife sanctuaries.
    And this program wouldn't exist without the economic fuel and drive of hunters.
