my dogs only get fleas when they visit my parents house, which is in the middle of the woods... we always have to treat them when they get back from a visit.

Last year my cat was sitting on top of the light for my 30 gallon breeder frag tank, I assume because it is warm, and he likes to watch the fish from the top. The next thing you know he is splashing around and walking on frags toward the edge and climbing out.

Only problem I had was the fact that I had to glue some of the frags back on to the plugs and rearrange them on the rack again but that was it. So basically as someone else said if the whole animal did not hurt it I doubt that a few hairs will.

Needless to say he cannot get to the top of the light anymore but still sits on top of the shelving unit that the tank is on, looking down toward the water.

Never have a problem with them because we use Front-line on both dogs and the cat every month. Keeps fleas and ticks from bothering them and us. best part is it only costs us 7.99 per animal for a whole months worth of protection!

We have 4 dogs 2 cats and 3 main tanks and 4 qt tanks with no issues. I did actually have our dog fixed as of this week about 4 weeks ago pee on the sump of one system when the bottom door was open. Still have fish swiming. I say this knocking on wood

for the longest time i kept my chinchilla charlie next to my 72 gal and his hair would get in there all the time, but nothing bad ever happened to it except occasionally getting caught on the intake.

Sorry to get a little off topic but...
when your cat was drinking this water did their behavior change?

My mom thought it would be a good idea to give our dog RODI "cuz its cleaner" and he started to become very inactive and groggy and literally slept all day long for a couple days straight (not like him AT ALL). Once I realized she was using rodi water I told her not to anymore because all the electrolytes are taken out of it by the filter. He perked back up a day or two later after switching to the normal water.

    Does this sound right?

My cat is weird and his behaviour changes every day. One day, he may sleep in, the next day, he's bouncing off the walls... lol. Kind of reminds me of myself sometimes... I've heard both sides to the drinking RO/DI water issue. I personally don't think that RO water will hurt pets, but tap water contains flouride, which is actually good for their teeth, so I go with that.
