OK. So I figure if I am going to keep keeping blennys, I need to be responsible about it and put on a lid. They keep catching a case of jumpism.


here's what I did. It seems like it blocks a lot of light though. At least there's a big glare on the top of the white... and glare light is light that didn't make it through so...

 

Pictures will come in later today. Camera is dead again... I think I need to reset this thing, it's giving me problems lately holding a charge.


I have added to my tank another emerald crab (last two died a while back. Have realized I need to quit keeping these in pairs. So I'm trying just one now... see if that works better).

Another Skunk cleaner. My last vanished several months ago without a trace. My Royal Gramma died, so I feel safe to have shrimp again. If the skunk lasts I will get some additional shrimp too (thinking a couple Fire).

A bicolor blenny. Since I have the egg crate I'm hoping... we'll see. I need a blenny to eat algae... but I'm not going to get anymore 'rare' ones like my red-lip until I have some sort of fool-proof lid from now on.


And a soft tubed feather duster. It's a pinkish purple color crown.

Here's a pic from when I first added it.



I have since moved it and buried the worm part.




Also, I found another little bit of anthelia in a hard to get to spot. I am 90% sure this is the last of it (other than what I have on overflow). I managed to put some limewater paste on it. Hopefully I got it... will check in a few days again.

 

Something else that I really need to get good pics of.

My purple blasto has gone from 4 heads when I got it to 11 now!!! WOW

My red blasto (which has a much bigger head than the purple) has the one head still, but it has 4 bulb things coming out the sides now... pretty sure I'll have a 5 headed red blasto soon! Very exciting. You can only see these bulbs when the blasto is closed up...

I will get some good pics of this stuff.

 

I love Blastos, unfortunately the one I had died, a tank accident, and the one I bought offline didn't make the trip. Maybe I will try again at some point.

 

I buried the worm...

here it is closed... it's opened once since I did this... waiting hoping it will come out more 8)




This thing has gotten huge (relatively speaking)



It has 4 little baby heads around the base that can be seen when it closes up or when I feed it (I feed it raw shrimp pieces)



And some updated tank shots. I was going to try and take them for that thread cuttingrass did... but my bubble closed up as I was cleaning the glass ... I want a pic where everything is out and rocking for that thread... so that will have to wait.

But in these you can notice where my feather duster is and on the far left, you can kind of make out how the purple blasto has gone from 4 to 11 heads.

lookin cool peredhil. the last pic looks like youve got a skull half buried. im gonna go get the door screen tomorrow to prevent jumpers and see how that works. but ahain, nice job on the tank

 

You mean the rock on the far right? Yeah, that's the Alien that tried to abduct me... won't be trying that again on this Terran.

 

heard some of those alien girls are hot. lol. especially the blue ones. abduction could be worth it. but then again, your avatar also looks like things they might do.
