    It is an isopod parasite most arthropods can suffer from this. It won't spread to other shrimp as it needs another host to complete its lifecycle. It cannot be removed, removal of the isopod will kill the shrimp.

    This bopyrid isopod is likely to be Orthione griffenis or a similar species. The parasite feeds on the shrimp and affects its reproductive organs and the shrimp to not be able to breed.
