Pepermint Cleaner Shrimp?

    I have four peppermint shrimp that have bean great for controlling a aptasia problem that WAS;D out of control! I have just added a powder blue tang who seams to be seeking the peps for cleaning services.

    Do peppermint shrimp clean like cleaner shrimp?

    All my other fish seam to ignore them. I guess if they do not my powder blue will find out soon enough.

    they do, but they are imo a bit more shy about it...all 4 of my cleaners will jump on fish but my peppermint didnt usually

    From my understanding they will clean but they are a little rougher than a skunk cleaner. I tested this by sticking my hand in the tank. My skunk was very gentle but my peppermint actually hurt a little when he was going after my fingernails.

    Thanks! I was just watching after I posted and the shrimp seam to be cleaning. Always a good show.

    Man, i need to get a pic of all my cleaners on my hand...its so hard because the second i move my hand an inch they all jump off lol...but they r so cool!

    Cleaner shrimp as well as Fire and Peppermint's will clean, but yeah, Peppermint's are more shy than the others and alot cheaper!!!

    I seen a fish at my LFS letting a cleaner shrimp clean the inside of its mouth.
